About the Role:

A prestigious luxury resort in the foothills of Santa Fe is seeking a visionary Executive Chef to lead its culinary program. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the resort’s dining identity, delivering refined Southwestern cuisine with Mexican and indigenous influences. With multiple restaurants, bars, and banquet spaces, the Executive Chef will oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience.


This position is ideal for a culinary leader with a strong operational mindset, a passion for showcasing regional flavors, and the ability to build systems and structure that enhance efficiency and creativity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all culinary operations across multiple dining venues, banquets, and in-room dining.
  • Develop and execute an elevated Southwestern menu that reflects regional flavors while aligning with the luxury brand.
  • Lead and mentor a culinary team of 24, including sous chefs, pastry chefs, cooks, and stewards, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Establish systems and structure to improve kitchen operations, efficiency, and team performance.
  • Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and service across all outlets.
  • Manage food cost, labor budgets, and financial performance while maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to enhance the overall guest dining experience.
  • Engage with guests, media, and the local community to reinforce the resort’s culinary reputation.


Qualifications:

  • Proven Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in a luxury resort, fine dining, or high-end multi-outlet environment.
  • Multi-outlet/multi-unit management experience.
  • Experience running programs doing at least $10M in F&B revenues.
  • Strong background in Southwestern cuisine with a passion for regional ingredients and modern culinary techniques.
  • Expertise in kitchen operations, menu engineering, and financial management.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team development, mentorship, and culture-building.
  • Ability to balance creativity with operational efficiency, ensuring both guest satisfaction and profitability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with front-of-house teams and resort leadership.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $130,000 – $135,000 (DOE)
  • Bonus Potential: Up to 15%, with an additional 3% kicker
  • PTO: 10 days accrued + sick and safe time (56 hours max)
